Program-Qualified Energy Advisors (PQEAs) are EnerGuide Rating System registered energy advisors (working with Service Organizations licensed through Natural Resources Canada) who have completed additional BC rebate program-focused orientation training. To access the CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Programs Energy Advisor Supported Rebates homeowners must use a PQEA to deliver the required EnerGuide home energy evaluations. A Service Organization is an independent organization licensed by Natural Resources Canada to deliver services such as EnerGuide Rating System home energy evaluations. All Energy Advisors have to work with one or more Service Organizations, who are responsible for supervising Energy Advisors to ensure that their specific roles and responsibilities are being fulfilled and conducting quality assurance. Those building a new home must use a PQEA to access FortisBC’s Step Code rebates.
